Using art supplies, campers recreate the Portland shipwreck of 1898 as they learn about underwater archeology techniques. Campers will assemble a periscope to locate artifacts; learn about the identity of passengers; and determine the possible time of the wreck. Older campers will practice how to ask “good” questions and will interview an expert from the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Campers will also enjoy a sunken treasure-themed escape room.
